The Shrine/An Argument – Fleet Foxes

Watch this mystical eight-minute animation for ‘The Shrine/An Argument’, taken from Fleet Foxes’ sophomore spectacular, Helplessness Blues. The music video was co-animated and directed by Sean Pecknold, brother of Fleet Foxes frontman Robin. There are other family members credited in the making of this animation too…what a talented family!

A chaque nuit, quelque chose d’invisible, me poursuit

Vous ne me reverrez plus

(apologies if the above french is butchered, I just copied and pasted from a site).

*Their latest, La Caverne, is pretty good too so check it out!

Warby Parker

SUNO + Warby Parker = cool! Luv the prints on the “Wendel” and “Thatcher”.

I like me a company that gives back.

Warby Parker is a New York-based company that sells vintage-inspired eyewear for $95(free shipping & free returns). They donate a pair of glasses to someone in need for every pair sold. I am most impressed by WP’s customer service. They are always good at getting back to you in emails or on the phone. The thing I am most impressed about them is THEY LET YOU TRY up to 5 pairs of eyeglasses at home! Sunglasses are not included but if you are not happy with the shades you receive, they will happily send you another pair to try on.

annd for us Angeleanos, Confederacy in Los Feliz now carries Warby Parker!

For Once in My Life//Stevie Wonder

Boy has back-up dancing come a loooong way.

1968, For Once in My Life

For once in my life I have someone who needs me
Someone I’ve needed so long
For once, unafraid, I can go where life leads me
And somehow I know I’ll be strong

For once I can touch what my heart used to dream of
Long before I knew
Someone warm like you
Would make my dreams come true

For once in my life I won’t let sorrow hurt me
Not like it’s hurt me before
For once, I have something I know won’t desert me
I’m not alone anymore

For once, I can say, this is mine, you can’t take it
As long as I know I have love, I can make it
For once in my life, I have someone who needs me
