Adiós

My Mediterranean adventure is about to begin and I will be gone for two weeks. I’m not sure if I will be posting whilst on holiday but if not, see you all in 2011! Happy Holidays everyone!!!

~swoon~

That first pic seriously took my breathe away…gosh, I could stare into those blue eyes of his for hours.

Ryan Gosling is featured on the cover and in the pages of the latest GQ Magazine. The pictorial was shot by famed photographer Mario Testino and I really like his play on shadows in these photographs.

5 more days

Whoot! I can’t believe my Mediterranean adventure will begin in 5 days!! I’ve been busy getting ready for my trip, finishing one last freelance job, and tying loose ends since I won’t be back till the new year. Time has been flying by and I feel like December just crept on us right?! If it wasn’t for all the X’mas decorations and songs in the stores I wouldn’t believe it’s December.

Since my birthday is next week Sephora sent me a coupon for my free bday gift and I also got a sweet $15 off coupon off $40 or more. Naturally that gave me a reason for some bday shopping. I’ve been on a hunt for the next best eyelash curler ever since Sephora stopped selling Shu Uemura in their stores. If you are Asian like me you know how perfect Shu Uemura’s curler was for eyes like ours. Well I am happy to report I found the next best thing and I think it’s even better than the Shu Uemura one:

Tarte’s curler is AMAZING! My lashes have never curled so beautiful before, I absolutely love it!! annd it came with a free sample of their mascara.

I also got a rollerball perfume of Kat Von D’s Adora. I’ve been wanting this perfume and I chose the rollerball as it’s the perfect size for my travels.

I did also purchase a few bottles of perfume from the Jo Malone store (what can I say, I like to smell good). They were having a fabulous 30% off sale a few weeks ago and I got my mother and I a few travel size bottles of perfume.

Well, back to doing errands for now…most of all I think I will miss this little bugger when I’m gone, *sniff sniff*

Like U Crazy//Mates of State

This Friday’s “Oldie but Goodie” comes from Mates of State’s 2006 album Bring It Back. I luv me some MoS and especially this song. I always have to belt this song out when I’m blasting it in my car (or any of their other songs for that matter). Their songs make me happy and I especially love the fact that they are a husband-and-wife team. Soooo cute!

Shapeshifter//Sylvia Ji

Corey Helford Gallery presents another wonderful art show featuring Los Angeles artist Sylvia Ji.

These paintings are beautiful. I really like the elements of Native American folklore and mysticism in these. This should be a great show.

The reception for “Shapeshifter” is open to the public and will take place on Saturday, December 11 from 7 to 10pm. Opening night will feature a complimentary 8 x 10” mini giclee of one of Ji’s new exhibition pieces for the first 500 guests. The show will be on view until December 31, 2010.
