I got this gorgeous Kat Von D lipstick over the weekend. It was this or the Nars “Heatwave” but in the end KVD won. It’s definitely not an everyday lipstick but I’ve been wanting something orange red and intense for awhile now. It is a rich full-color lipstick, highly pigmented and highly recommended. Aaaand, to my surprise I was able to purchase this awesome chain brooch at Madewell. It was not available online anymore but I was able to find it in the store, woohoo!!
I’m a bit late in posting these but I find Elisabeth Moch’s cat drawings she did for Chelsea Magazine simply delightful! These cracked me up as soon as I saw them…now I just need one of Fergus looking dapper in a kilt on a fixie!

Third time was the charm last night. I love you guys, you electrify every nerve in my body with your music. I love how you do them crazy backbends whilst playing the guitar, I even love it more when you guys are pounding duo drums together and bombard our senses with your visuals. What I hated was the douchey college audience at last night’s show and us waiting for 3 long hours for you to come on. That may be my last time ever going to any show at the Nokia Theatre – ick! Please play in smaller venues in the future.

Okay, I think this will be my last post on the Natives for awhile…I just have so much mad love for these guys that I can’t help it. The show on Friday night was super fun. I appreciate any band that interacts with the audience, is gracious, warm, and not jaded. ~sigh~ I just heart them, especially you Kelcey!!

I’m so glad August is behind me now. It feels so good to be back home and have some sort of “normal-ness” back. Last month was no joke one of the most stressful months of my life. It was rrrrough and now I’m just focusing on moving forward and embracing all the good things in life.
