Tame Impala streams new album Currents

Omg, luuuuuuuv! You can stream the entire album on NPR. Currents is out July 17th. This is only a teaser but the band also shared a behind-the-scenes video chronicling the album’s creation:

Sufjan Stevens// The Age of Adz

It will be exactly one week before The Age of Adz be available for us to purchase and about 5 years since he graced us with Illinois. Gone are his usual use of banjos and acoustic guitars and in place now are an assortment of experimental sounds of electronica and synthesizers. Sounds of loops, samples, and sound effects are pretty evident throughout this whole album and I think it’s a smart move for Stevens. However, as much as I enjoyed his previous albums I fully embrace this new sound and find it infectiously addicting.

The Age of Adz will stream on NPR in its entirety until its release on October 12th. Give it a listen and buy the album when it comes out.
