Angelique from Charm School recently informed me of a cool art show that will be debuting at the Corey Helford Gallery in Culver City this Saturday night. The main gallery space will feature Ohio artist Melissa Forman’s new series of work titled, “The Keepers of Creation”, and UK Illustrator Andy Council will be special guest artist in the loft debuting his “Parallel Evolutions”.

It’s Movember…

Men, get yer “Mo” on and raise money for men’s health issues like prostate cancer and bring awareness to the cause! It’s not too late to start.

“Movember challenges men to change their appearance and the face of men’s health by growing a moustache. The rules are simple, start Movember 1st  clean-shaven and then grow a moustache for the entire month.  The moustache becomes the ribbon for men’s health, the means by which awareness and funds are raised for cancers that affect men.  Much like the commitment to run or walk for charity, the men of Movember commit to growing a moustache for 30 days.”

To learn more go visit Movember.com and help in anyway you can.

Annnd just because, here are a few men that rock it nicely:

Jason Schwartzman

George Harrison

Ryan Gosling

Alain Delon

Conan O'Brien

Speaking of Conan, don’t forget to watch his return to tv tonight on TBS!

Come and support these great artists this Saturday at Subliminal Projects. I’m sad that I cannot make it since I already have plans but I’ll probably check it out sometime next week. I’m doubly sad that I cannot go since I’m a big fan of Richard Coleman’s work and I keep missing all his openings here when he’s in LA.

Here’s some of his previous work:

Mocs to die for…

I’m really digging the turquoise ones and the double fringed booties! These are all handcrafted by a team of 3 people using recycled leather scraps.
