Key West, Florida
Our second day in Florida was spent in the Keys. I knew we had a long day’s drive ahead of us but I didn’t realize that driving into the Keys on a weekend was treacherous. Don’t get me wrong the scenic was absolutely stunning. You are basically driving on a single lane highway which on one side, you have the Atlantic Ocean and on the other side, the Gulf of Mexico.
More than halfway through we decided to grab a bite to eat. We ended up at Lazy Days and had a wonderful lunch there. We sat outside and the views were beautiful. There must be a reason why the restaurant was named “Lazy Days” because we sat in their patio for what felt like 2 hours!

This pineapple was in the front yard of a house. I was amazed to see it so close to the fence! If I had a yummy pineapple growing you know it will be protected from grubby hands.
I couldn’t resist and dipped my toes at the “southernmost point”.
